Zambia – U$500 million investment for a new build sugar-ethanol plant [Registered]
Greenfuels is investing U$500 million for a sugar-ethanol plant in Zambia, according reports from local press. Some 30,000 hectares for a sugar cane plantation Luapula province has already been acquired. . “Under the programme, the Zimbabweans firm will build a sugar, ethanol and molasses processing plant and the $500 million investment is expected to create about 5,000 jobs,”said Chanda Kasolo the country’s permanent secretary for Luapula province.
