With sugar companies going out of business in Brazil – is this a good time for rich pickings? [Registered]

For the past three years, there has been a contraction in the Brazilian sugar industry, as the number of sugar mills operating has dropped from the peak of 441 to 377 today. The contraction is not over, as quite a few more factories are seeking equivalent of Chapter 11 support or bankruptcy protection. It is not just the small sugar companies in Brazil that are having a hard time, but also the big ones too.
