Treating waste affluent with sunlight to produce clean water [Registered]

Making clean water from waste effluents involves high energy costs. According to an article published online (30 Dec 2010) in the journal Biomicrofluidics (vol 4 (4)), a new system that combines two different technologies proposes to break down contaminants using sunlight.
