The decline was dampened by firmer sugar and ethanol prices in Brazil. Total sugar sales by the company in 2014/15 was 1.661 mln tonnes against 1.717 mln in 2013/14 while ethanol sales dropped to 946 mln litres from 986 mln the previous year.
