The gear units, which will be designed and manufactured out of Santasalo’s location in Wuppertal, Germany, will replace the existing Santasalo Quatro units currently installed at the mill and provide significantly more torque. An H-Force based design was proposed by Santasalo engineers that would allow for the same mounting dimensions, presenting a more cost competitive solution for the customer.
