Covid-19 supply chain disruptions have forced the issue on producing as much food locally [Full subscriber]

The current COVID-19 pandemic has invariably disrupted the global food supply chains, and with it exposed the fragility of food production systems and consumption that could not be envisaged as globalization advanced. An international team of researchers led by Pekka Kinnunen at Aalto University, note in the research published in Nature Food that only less than a third of the world’s population could subsist on locally grown food.
