The proprietary process technologies provider ICM has signed an agreement with Neomille, a subsidiary of the sugar-ethanol producer Cerradinho Bioenergia, to design a corn-ethanol plant in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Construction will take place in Maracaju, 160 km southwest of the state capital, according to a press release.

Sao Martinho SA, one of Brazil’s largest sugar and ethanol producers, plans to build a corn-ethanol plant in the state of Goiás, the company said in a securities filing, reports Reuters.
Brazil’s largest grain-producing state Mato Grosso will see an investment of BRL 1 billion (US$257 million) by FS Bioenergia in the building of the company’s third corn-ethanol plant in Nova Mutum, according to Valor Economico.
