United States – 2015/16 sugar output forecast to be lower than previous year [Registered]

Beet sugar production for the 2015/16 Aug-Jul period will total about 4.900 mln tons, but fiscal year 2015/16 (Oct/Sep) production is forecast at 4.770 mln as 11% of the 2015/16 sugar beet crop will be harvested in August-September and thus will be accounted for in the estimate of the fiscal year 2014/15 (Oct/Sep) crop.
