Sierra Leone – Sunbird invests US$10 million in elephant grass production to feed cogen unit [Full subscriber]

The management of Sunbird Bioenergy Africa Limited (Sunbird Bioenergy group) has confirmed the company intends to invest US$10 million which will be used to buy dry elephant grass (biomass) from local farmers to supplement cane bagasse in its cogen unit at its sugar factory, according to local press reports.
