Court orders Tate & Lyle to pay US$27.3 mln to ASR over sugar deal [Registered]

American Sugar Refining in 2010 paid £211 million for Tate & Lyle’s E.U. sugar business. The acquisition included a license for the use of the Tate & Lyle brand in connection with the sale of sugar as well as refineries in London and Lisbon, Portugal.

Cristal Union partners with ASR to invest in an Italian sugar refinery [Registered]

The company’s spokeswoman said Cristal Union and ASR would now both have a 33% share in SFIR Raffineria di Brindisi. She declined to give financial details of the agreement, according to a Reuters report.
