Afyren secures beet pulp supplies from Südzucker to produce biobased organic acids [Full subscriber]

The French biotech start-up Afyren has reached a long-term agreement for the supply of sugar beet pulp with the sugar giant Südzucker that will be used as feedstock for its Afyren Neoxy zero-waste, low-carbon biorefinery, which will begin producing seven 100% bio-based organic acids at an industrial scale in early 2022.
