Saudi firm investing $650 million on sugar and ethanol plants in Sudan [Registered]

The Saudi Tala Company is investing U$650 million in the building of a sugar factory and an ethanol plant in the Sinnar state. Khalid Al Deyaee, manager of the company recently signed partnership agreement with the Sinnar State official, reported Sudanese Media Center. The project includes production of 3.6 million tonnes of sugarcane on a 63,000-hectare parcel of land in the Sinnar state in Sudan’s sugar cane belt.
