Light interception and productivity of sugarcane as influenced by row spacing, season, cultivar and site in Kenya [Full subscriber]

Abstract Field experiments in 2011 in Kenya at Kibos and Mumias determined the nature of light interception and productivity of sugarcane as influenced by spacing, season, cultivar and site. The treatments structure was a split-split plot laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications, main plots were seasons (June and September,) spacing (1.2 m and 1.5 m) allocated to sub-plot and cultivars (CO 945, EAK 73-335 and KEN 83-737) distributed to sub-sub plot.
