Isolation and purification of flavonoid glycosides from sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) juice by high-speed counter-current chromatography [Full subscriber]

Following an initial cleaning-up step on the SD 300 macroporous resin, three flavonoid glycosides including swertisin, isoorientin-7, 3’-dimethyl ether, and tricin-7-O-glycoside were isolated and purified by high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) from sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) juice. Preparative HSCCC with a two-phase solvent system composed of ethyl acetate – n-butanol – water (9:1:10, v/v/v) was successfully performed by eluting the lower mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.5 ml/min under a revolution speed of 900 rpm.
