Integrated sugar complex with minimum energy consumption and maximum cogeneration – concept to commissioning [Full subscriber]

IJT has been awarded a task for setting up two integrated sugar complexes on turnkey basis by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) at Sugauli and Lauriya (shown in Figure 1) in India. Each complex is designed to crush 3,500 Tons of cane/day to produce sugar and ethanol with minimum energy consumption and maximum cogeneration. The plants were commissioned in Feb 2011.
