Efficacy of liquid Pseudomonas fluorescens (Pf1) against sugarcane red rot, caused by Colletotrichum falcatum, under field conditions [Full subscriber]

Field trials in Tamil Nadu, India evaluated the control of sugarcane red rot with Pseudomonas fluorescens strain Pf1. Previous findings of our research group demonstrated that talc-based P. fluorescens (Pf1) formulation effectively reduced several plant diseases and promoted plant growth. Current agro-techniques require the development of a liquid formulation with a long viable shelf life. This paper reports on field experiments using different concentrations of liquid formulation of P. fluorescens (Pf1) in sugarcane fields.
