Abstract In Part 1. of the paper a complex equation describing the linear crystal growth rate in industrial sugar crystallizers was presented and validated based on data acquired by monitoring strikes in two different refineries (Rozsa et al. 2016). In Part 2. of the paper ((Rozsa et al. 2017.) by making effective use of the growth rate equation, the effect of the important operating parameters (supersaturation (SS), temperature, non-sugar and crystal content) on the process of crystallization was discussed in detail.
