A classification scheme for wear and corrosion* [Full subscriber]

Abstract Many components in a sugar factory require regular replacement. The need for replacement comes from excessive wear and/or corrosion that changes the dimensions of the component and reduces its ability to function as designed. On a component-by-component basis, efforts are being made to improve the life of components through the use of better materials or redesign to improve the operating environment.
