OPX Biotechnologies Inc. (OPXBIO) announced on 7th July that it has raised $36.5 million from private equity financing. The investment will accelerate OPXBIO’s development and commercialization of renewable, bio-based chemicals and fuels that are claimed to be lower cost, higher return and more sustainable than existing petroleum-based products. OPXBIO will focus on the production of BioAcrylic which is equivalent in performance to petroleum-based acrylic.
