Mozambique – ethanol production from a sugar mill planned [Registered]

Sugar and ethanol producer Tereos Internacional in cooperation with Brazil’s state-owned oil company Petroleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) unveiled plans to study the possibility of producing and selling fuel ethanol in Mozambique. The company’s plan is to modify an existing sugar mill. Petroleo de Mocambique (Petromoc) is to use the output for E-10 blends. Petrobras through Petrobras Biocombustivel operates in the Brazilian biofuels sector. Tereos has a 75% share in Sena. Mozambique plans to introduce E-10 in 2012.
