Morgan Stanley to advise Bunge on its sugar business [Registered]

The global agribusiness Bunge has hired Morgan Stanley to review and advise on the future of its underperforming sugar and ethanol unit in Brazil, including the potential sale of assets, according Chief Executive Officer Soren Schroder speaking to the newswire Bloomberg. “The biggest goal for 2014 is to deliver our targeted ROIC [return on invested capital], which is well above the cost of capital, and to find a good outcome for our sugar milling business in Brazil,”Schroder said.
