Raw sugar futures on ICE hit their lowest in four months on 2nd December, following that the Omicron coronavirus variant could batter a nascent global economic recovery. The March raw sugar closed 0.2% higher at 18.62 cents per lb, after hitting its lowest since early August at 18.46 cents. On 10th December, the price bounced back up to 19.71 cents, while white closed at US$ 510.70 per tonne in London against US$ 486.90 on 3rd December.
