Market Overview Sugar prices plunged on 20th January with New York March falling more than a half cent to 14.19 cents.  New York’s March‑May spread also plunged again to close at 27 points, just a couple of points above the mid‑January low.  The big worry for the sugar market, according to the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) was that the BRL fell decisively through recent lows (BRL4.07 to the US$) that held for much of January.  Moreover the market is rightly wary (because Brazil’s monetary policy seems to be changing) that we have not seen the end of the BRL’s…
