LignoTech breakthrough in biobased resin additives [Registered]

LignoTech Developments has developed a breakthrough in thermoset resin additives. The New Zealand-based company manufactures a biobased extender for thermoset resins. Its patented technology has been developed to thermally and chemically process bio-waste streams such as corn waste from ethanol plants and sugar beet pulp to use as a thermoset resin additive. According to Russell Fisher, North American Technical Specialist, “The biobased extender will offer composite companies a competitive advantage by changing to a green renewable solution that can lower costs”.
