Large sugar producing companies in EU will thrive post abolition of sugar quotas says Rabobank [Registered]

Rabobank has identified AB Sugar, Tereos and Suedzucker AG (SZU) as the companies most likely to benefit from EU sugar market deregulation. These companies have “the most diversified business models” making them “best positioned for further deregulation of the EU sugar regime” notes analyst Gorjan Nikolik in a report. The European Commission announced its proposal to abolish quotas on domestic sugar production and exports within the EU as part of its CAP reform package.
