KOST and ADM develop biobased glycol products [Registered]

KOST USA and Archer Daniels Midland Company recently announced the successful development of the BioChill® line of heat transfer fluids. ADM’s biobased propylene glycol can effectively replace the petroleum-derived propylene glycol traditionally used in heat transfer fluids. BioChill® heat transfer fluids are registered with the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) BioPreferred® program, which promotes increased purchase and use of biobased products. The benefits of BioChill over petroleum-derived products include use of a sustainable product, significant reduction in greenhouse gas during production which lowers the carbon footprint, as well as potential LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) innovation credits.
