Indonesia – New sugar mill starts operating in Central Java [Registered]

A new sugar mill owned by PT Gendhis Multi Manis (GMM) recently commenced operations on 4th June, reports The Jakarta Post. It has a processing capacity of 6000 tons of sugar cane per day. GMM president director Kamadjaja said that the construction of the sugar mill, which began in June 2011, cost around Rp 1.8 trillion (US$151.77 million). “Of the total investment, Rp 1.2 trillion came from bank loans,” he said during the sugar mill’s inauguration ceremony.
