India’s sugar millers owe U$80 million to cane growers [Registered]

Sugar millers in India owe over Rs 444 crore (U$80 million) to cane growers out of the total payable amount of nearly Rs 52,000 crore (U$9480 million) in the 2011-12 marketing year ended October, according to a statement by the Food Minister K V Thomas, reported Economic Times.
