Ghana – Omnicane to invest U$250 million to build a new sugar factory [Registered]
A Mauritius sugarcane firm Omnicane is set to invest $250 million in Ghana to build a 100,000 tonnes capacity cane sugar factory. The factory will be located in Northern Ghana, which has a population of 2,5 million people, is the largest region in Ghana, but remains quite poor. The offer of investment came during a recent visit to the country by the vice Prime Minister of Mauritius, Charles Xavier-Luc Duval, who lead over 30 business delegation for a three-day visit to the country. Duval pledged to share longstanding expertise Mauritius has in fisheries, rice, poultry and sugarcane plantations with Ghana.… Login to continue
