FT microchannel technology for biofuels production scales up towards the pilot phase [Registered]
Following the successful operation of a biomass-to-liquids (BTL) demonstration plant at the biomass gasification facility in Güssing, Austria, the Oxford Catalysts Group’s FT microchannel reactor technology is now moving towards a full pilot plant phase. The Oxford Catalysts Group recently received its first order for a full scale commercial reactor from the Portuguese incorporated holding company SGC Energia (SGCE). The FT microchannel reactor, comprised of tens of thousands of full-length microchannels will be used in a 25 barrels/day pilot plant at Güssing to produce liquid fuel from biomass.
