EU sugar quota abolition supported by UK’s agriculture committee [Registered]

The abolition of sugar quotas in the EU in September 2015 is endorsed by the UK’s House of Lords Agriculture, Fisheries, Environment and Energy Sub-Committee. In their report Leaving a bitter taste? The EU Sugar Regime, released today, the Committee emphatically “agrees with the UK Government both that production quotas should be abolished in 2015 as proposed by the [EU] Commission”.
