EU plans might prompt decline in sugar futures, survey finds [Registered]

Sugar futures might decline as the EU plans to increase exports and lift import duties, according to a Bloomberg News survey. Six of 12 traders, analysts and brokers surveyed by Bloomberg News said raw sugar traded in New York will decline in coming weeks. Five predicted that prices will rise and one estimated little change. Raw sugar on ICE Futures US has declined 6.6% in mid-November to 29.66¢ a pound.
