Czarnikow says that global sugar demand set to increase by over 50% by 2030 [Registered]

In their recently published report Sugar in 2030: How the World will Meet an Extra 50% Demand, Czarnikow details consumption and production trends informing the rise in demand. The analyst notes that the key demand driver is the rising wealth in emerging markets. Global consumption is forecast to rise by some 90 million mtrv (metric tonnes raw value) by 2030 to 260 million mtrv.
