Crystallography [Registered]

Moore (1972) states that crystallography, the science of the structure of crystals, began when relations between the faces of crystals were determined; in 1969 the interfacial angles (angle between lines drawn normal to a pair of faces) of quartz crystals were measured.   The corresponding angles in different crystals of the same substance are always the same: this has been called “the first law of crystallography”.
