Codexis targets biobased chemicals sector with its CodeXyme™ cellulase enzyme [Registered]

Codexis recently introduced the CodeXymeTM Cellulase enzyme product line that converts cellulosic feedstocks to sugar. The market for biomass-processing cellulase enzymes is projected to be one of the largest industrial enzyme markets, particularly in the emerging bioeconomy. An increasing number of companies are pursuing the production of higher value chemicals, such as CodeXolTM Detergent Alcohols, made from sugar rather than petroleum.
