The direct production of liquid fuels from carbon dioxide (CO2) hydrogenation has attracted enormous interest for its significant roles in mitigating CO2 emissions and reducing dependence on petrochemicals. The world’s first demonstration plant for 1,000 tonnes/year of gasoline production from CO2 hydrogenation located in Zoucheng Industrial Park, Shandong province, China, completed its trial operation and technology assessment on March 4.
