British Sugar’s overseas interests drive revenues [Registered]

Revenues from the second half to 17th September from British Sugar’s overseas interests are particularly encouraging according to the statement from its owner Associated British Foods. Profit is expected to be better than last year. Strong performance in both China and Spain more than offset the absence of export sales from the UK and lower than expected sales in South Africa. In the UK, as a result of the frost-thaw damage last winter, sugar production was just below 1.0 million tonnes.
