Brazil – Six new ethanol plants in the pipeline [Registered]

The Brazilian biofuel company Vinema Biorefinarias do Sul Ltda. plans to spend 720 million reais ($354 million) for the construction of six ethanol-fuel plants. Feedstock for the plants will be cereal grains. The company expects to secure most of the 40 million reais of equity commitments for the first plant in the city of Cristal by end of February, according to Vilson Neumann Machado, director of development projects at Camaqua, reported Bloomberg.
