Brazil centre-south to increase cane allocation for sugar output [Registered]

Brazil’s centre-south will increase the share of cane it directs to sugar production next season as prices of the commodity hover near 30-year highs, according to the analyst Datagro. About 47% of the expected crop should be turned into sugar, with the remainder going to ethanol production. This compares with 44.8% in the current season (April to March) that went to sugar production.
