Biogas production tripled by nanoparticle technology [Registered]

Researchers of the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) have developed the new BiogàsPlus production technology which, compared with conventional systems, increases biogas production by 200% with a controlled introduction of iron oxide nanoparticles to the process of organic waste treatment.
