Belarus – New beet sugar factory costing U$171.8 mln set to open in 2017 [Registered]

China’s COMPLANT plans to set up a sugar factory in Belarus at a cost of $171.849 mln near Chaussy in Mogilev region, according to a local press report published on September 19. The plant will have a beet processing capacity of 4,000 tonnes of beet per day during a 120-day campaign. It is designed to produce 70,000 tonnes of sugar, 28,800 tonnes of beet pulp and 4,500 tonnes of edible alcohol (from molasses) per year.
