Australian sugar industry facing demographic timebomb [Registered]

With the average age of an Australian cane grower being 59 according to figures from industry body Canegrowers, concerns are afoot that with young people not joining sugar business, this will stall the expansion of the industry enjoying high global prices and is perfectly situated to supply sugar deficient countries such as China and Indonesia.
