Australia – PFS paves way for a biorefinery in Queensland producing sugars from cane waste [Full subscriber]

The biotech start-up and Australia-based Leaf Resources announce on 20th May that completed the pre-feasibility study (PFS) on a second-generation commercial biorefinery in Queensland that will deploy the company’s proprietary process for conversion of lignocellulosic feedstocks to industrial sugars which enable multitude downstream technologies to produce substitute petrochemicals. A bio-manufacturing hub is intended to be developed in a sugarcane producing region of Queensland after the PFS assessment of various locations.…
