$47 million granted for biorenewables R&D in USA [Registered]

The US Department of Agriculture and Department of Energy announced in early May $47 million in awards for eight research and development projects to support production of biofuels, bioenergy and high-value biobased products from a variety of biomass sources. The projects are funded through the Biomass Research and Development Initiative. Grant recipients are required to contribute a minimum of 20% of matching funds for R&D projects and 50% for demonstration projects. Here are the projects: Cellana LLC, $5,521,173.
